Prelude Therapeutics cut the ribbon on their new 100,000 square foot headquarters building at the Chestnut Run Innovation and Science Park (CRISP) on Friday, February 9, 2024.

The oncology company was born from Incyte Corporation in 2016, and as it grew moved from the STAR Campus, to the Experiment Station to CRISP.

"Prelude is a through and through Delaware story," said founder and CEO Kris Vaddi who thanked Delaware's state and congressional leaders for their support. "Our new headquarters represent the ultimate in a public-private partnership, with our making a long-term commitment to the state of Delaware, and Delaware making a significant investment in Prelude."

U.S. Senator Chris Coons (D - DE) said the day was about hope for cancer patients.

"That there is a prospect for a new treatment, for a new therapeutic, a new device, a new procedure," said Coons. "It's about confidence in the tools of science, it's about optimism what a group of people brought together from all over the world can do together, collaboratively and creatively."

CRISP is the site of the former Dupont Chestnut Run facility.

Prelude received grant funding from the state through the Delaware Prosperity Partnership.
