Delaware Bio invites you to our December BioBriefing on Wednesday, December 10 featuring UD Office of Economic Innovation and Partnerships (OEIP) Associate Vice President, Dr. Julius Korley.

OEIP unites the collective resources of UD and Delaware’s business, academic and entrepreneurial communities to drive innovation and economic growth. Dr. Korley will share the latest on OEIP’s focus, strategies and targeted opportunities across technology transfer, research commercialization and support for academic entrepreneurs – critical priorities for UD and state economic development.

Julius N. Korley
Associate Vice President
Office of Economic Innovation & Partnerships (OEIP)

Dr. Julius N. Korley is a businessperson, entrepreneur and scientist with expertise in several areas of biotechnology, including biomaterials, drugs, drug-delivery systems and medical device development. Presently, Dr. Korley is the Associate Vice President for the Office of Economic Innovation & Partnerships (OEIP) at the University of Delaware. He also holds a secondary appointment as an associate professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. The mission of OEIP is to promote and facilitate the commercialization of University of Delaware technologies for the benefit of the public and the university. Previously, Dr. Korley was the Director of Entrepreneurship and Strategic Partnerships for the College of Engineering (COE) at the University of Delaware. In this role, Dr. Korley was responsible for driving commercialization by helping COE faculty, postdocs and students develop their technologies and connecting them to the startup and industry communities. Korley is also National faculty for I-Corps at NIH and Co-Director of the NSF I-Corps Northeast Hub.

Registration Policy

The “Non-Member” rate is for those who very occasionally attend our events (no more than two events) or for those who are evaluating whether they wish to join Delaware Bio. This is not intended for individuals who attend every event in a series. If you fall into this category, we ask that you join the organization. Information about membership can be found by contacting us at  info@delawarebio.org.

Please note that Delaware Bio is a member-supported organization, preference is given to our members. If an event becomes sold out and you are registered as a non-member, we reserve the right to cancel your registration and refund your payment. If you are retired and wish to attend BioBreakfast, we ask that you join the organization as a member, at our new, discounted retired membership level.

When registering please use your company email address, so we can verify membership (if applicable). Registration for our virtual events will end 24-hours before the event is set to begin to ensure you receive the proper communication to join the event. Please register in advance, as it may fill up quickly. Thank you!

Refund Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing, via email to Delaware Bio more than one (1) week prior to the event to receive a refund minus 25% for registration/administrative costs. If the cancellation is made within one week of the event or the attendee is a no-show, Delaware Bio will not issue a refund. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Delaware Bio.
