Myunghee joined Cover & Rossiter in December 2018. Currently, she is a director in the Tax Department and leads the firm’s Growth Management Consulting initiative. She has more than 15 years of experience in public accounting. Prior to joining the firm, she was senior manager at Ernst & Young’s Quantitative Services where she specialized in advising her clients with tax planning ideas to reduce their tax liabilities and mitigate risks associated with tax returns. Myunghee loves what she does: helping businesses with taxes! She enjoys the process of learning complicated tax provisions and navigating ways to help her clients. Growing up, Myunghee observed firsthand what it takes to run a small business, as her father was an entrepreneur. This personal knowledge of business operations combined with her expertise in applying tax code has resulted in a lifelong passion for helping businesses prosper.
Myunghee’s experiences at Big Four accounting firms broadened her perspective of business operations and helped her understand key factors for business success. She frequently speaks at workshops to share this knowledge along with tax planning and tax incentives, thus helping businesses in Delaware succeed. She also provides advice on new tax legislation such as the R&D Tax Credit and Investor Tax Credit.
Over the years, she has served in many leadership roles in Delaware. Currently, she sits on the boards of the Delaware BioScience Association (DelawareBio) and the Delaware Korean American Association. In addition, she is a member of the Audit Committee of the Delaware Symphony Orchestra and YMCA of Delaware. Previously, she served as Chair of the Delaware Society of CPAs’ Board and on the Board of Delaware Symphony Orchestra. She was also a member of the Council of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
In 2020, Myunghee was an honoree of Delaware Today’s Women in Business. Myunghee has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Michigan State University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Delaware. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Delaware and Pennsylvania.
