 In October 2010, Delaware Bio launched a new bi-monthly event for Delaware's Life Science Professionals. Thanks to two individuals whose leadership led to the creation of this new event. Both Ian Wright, Vice President, Strategic Innovation at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics and Kelvin Lee, Executive Director of the Delaware Biotechnology Institute and Gore Professor of Chemical Engineering, described similar networking needs for young scientists and engineers in their respective organizations. Young professionals from a number of Delaware organizations joined in planning the October 7th evening, the first in a series designed to connect Delaware’s young life science engineers, scientists and post docs starting them on their path to building a professional network. |
